I have this one habit where I tend to slouch/hunch my back whenever I sit on a chair to study or when I am on my computer. I know this is bad for my spine but I just couldn’t help it. I tried to sit up straight but it will only last about 2 minutes or so and then I will go back to my bad posture position fml.
I think this habit started when I was like 12 or 13 or something when my puberty started to kick in and my female body part started to grow (read: boobs lololl). I was so naive at that time and started to question why my boobs so huge it is embarrassing. so I slouched my back to hide them until my parents realized of my bad posture. They were so worried they even bought me a girdle and forced me to wear it herghhhh. It was so uncomfortable but it did help my posture a little bit.
Now when I became an adult I abandoned it obviously and my old habit creeped into my life again. It got to the point where I felt some back pain when I hunched for a long period of time. so I started googling some solutions on how to improve my body posture. I know that wearing a corset or girdle can help but I am not willing to spend my money for that lol so cheapskate this girl.
At the same time I have started working out at this point in my life (just so you know I was the most unmotivated and laziest person ever when it comes to exercise)and I learned that you can actually improve your posture by working out and strengthening your back muscles. So I’ve been following various workouts videos on youtube (eg. cardio, legs and butt, abs) but this one particular video I keep coming back for it because I can feel the difference in my posture almost instantly after I finish the workout. I feel that my back muscles are getting stronger and I am not slouching anymore. I am so happy with the result yay!
Although this workout targets the lower abs but I believe it does help strengthening your back and core as well. I do incorporated some other movements into my workout because I want to look good and feel good about myself (prayforme lol). There are others workout videos on youtube to help improve your posture you just have to choose which are the best for you and suits your preference.
